CN Chartered Accountants is delighted to Welcome Nicholas Lanigan to the team.
Nicholas joins CN as a Tax Manager, bringing enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent client service. His appointment further strengthens our tax offering as we continue to support businesses and individuals across the region with expert tax advice and planning.
Working alongside our experienced tax specialists, Nicholas will be assisting clients with a wide range of tax matters and helping to ensure they receive proactive, practical, and commercially focused advice.
Prior to joining CN, Nicholas worked at Mitchell Charlesworth, where he was a Corporate Tax Manager in the Manchester office. In this role, he managed a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing corporation tax compliance while also supporting businesses with Research & Development (R&D) tax relief claims, corporate restructures, and a variety of specialist project work.
Before that, Nicholas worked on Cheadle Royal Business Park with Armstrong Watson (formerly ASE), where he specialised in tax matters within the automotive sector, developing valuable industry expertise and building strong relationships with clients.

Outside of work, Nicholas has a wide range of interests that keep him busy. Weekends are often spent walking with his wife and their two dogs, a Schnauzer and a Schnoodle.
“You’ll probably hear us before you see us!” Nicholas jokes.
A keen reader, Nicholas is an active member of a book club and when time permits, he can also be found on the squash court or football pitch.
